The school recently received a $3,000 grant from the Port Fairy and District Community Bank, which was used for the purchase of some brightly coloured robots.

The new STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) robots encourage students to engage in coding experiences as they explore the world through a robotic and coding lens.

With support from STEAM teacher Melanie Vesey, students are now learning how to program the robots through collaborative project-based skills.

The robots come equipped with speakers, sensors, microphones, lights and motors and are activated through an app.

These are being used by students from foundation through to year six level.
