Dennington celebrates
DENNINGTON’S under 13 White team has defeated Mortlake Cobden to win the Warrnambool and District Cricket Association premiership.
Playing at Mack Oval last weekend, Mortlake Cobden won the toss and elected to bat.
With some tight bowling and good fielding from White, Mortlake Cobden was restricted to 10/90 after 34.3 overs.
Best of the bowlers for White were Oliver Marris with figures of 3/10 from five overs and Leo Eccles 3/18 from four.
In reply, White managed 5/159 after 48 overs.
Oliver Marris and Lachlan Walters were both unbeaten at the crease, retiring on 40 runs, while team-mates Linkin Porter (15), Noah McInerney (13), Oscar Stewart (9), Arlo Greene (7) and Toby Parsons (4 not out) also contributed to the scoreboard.
